My mechanic did this for me once but I watched closely. Use a drift to loosen the cap (I think thats the screw) and remove it. He discarded it and used a new one. install seal snap ring and O ring. clean rods with emery paper, lubricate add fluid renstall screw, bleed system.
Next time I'll do my own & save labor.
The mech did advise that if you keep your boat in the water to engage trail lock and trim rods all the way in to avoid corosion or salt build up on the rod that could cut the seal.
