Puncture in fiberglass

Gents,
PO seem to dock boat by the "keep going until you hear crunch method". Have hole in fiberglass about golf ball size in both sponsons just above the rub rail. Ice pick goes all the way in. Need some good suggestions for a good fix. Lots & lots of Git-Rot? Thanks Guys!

Unless its rotted, why would you use git-rot? Need some pics to really see whats going on....but it sounds like you'll need at least a little glass to patch the golf ball sized hole and some epoxy or vinyl resin
