I would like opinions/feedback on the following: I am lookng at at 2003 Grady White express with 225 Yamahas with 730 hours, marlin tower, diesel generator, and bottom paint.
First, I am not a fan of bottom paint and would keep the boat on the lift, does anyone have experience with soda blasting to remove bottom paint?
Second, do you think the boat is underpowered with the 225 Hp engines, especially with a tower?
Third, can this boat be repowered with yamaha 300 four strokes?
Finally, does a marlin tower on this boat affect stability?

NOTHING ELSE MATTERS

No soda blast, Farrow system is the best and safest way to remove bottom paint.
Underpowered ? I think so, especially with that marlin tower.
Repower, best bet to call Grady, those boat were rated at 600 HP and had 300 HPDI's installed, but i don't know about the weight difference between the HPDI and the new 300 Yammis.
Stability, probably not, i had that boat and she was very stable(no tower though).

2x 225s with a tower sounds underpowerd... what do you plan on doing with the boat because if you really want it maybe removing the tower is an option????
