I wasn't too excited about paying over $100 for one new rod holder on my 228 so I had them re-chromed from Atlas Chrome Plating in Houston. They turned out great.

What did that cost to have done, they look mint.
They strip the original part which they told me is aluminium then put two coats of nickel on then chrome the whole piece. It cost $50 per rod holder. The tarnish was really bugging me so I happily paid it. It was going to cost more to powder coat them.
