We removed the pin that holds the bracket to the lifter for the electronics box and then unscrewed the hinges.
The entire box will come out as far as the slack you have in the cables. My installer left a lot of slack so the entire electronics box can be lifted out.
When you disconnect the lifting arm from the box, you might even be able to leave the hinges on and push the box all the was up. There is access to the interior of the box via a hole (large) under the back of the box.
