I'm looking to replace the sliding side windows on my 268 with the fixed style of the 270 and later walkarounds. Anyone done this? Any ideas for a possible source for the new windows?

I'm going to fiberglass over the front windows and re-paint. I'll leave the frame and curtains up so I don't have to mess with the headliner. Side windows look dated. They have already been converted to a fixed window.

I know this is an old thread but did you ever get to this project? What prompted you to make the change? If so, do you have any pics you could share?

It's not that difficult. Windows don't open anymore. Fixed plastic windows caulked in. Probably acrylic per my glass guys. After 10 years they will craze up and need to be replaced. But was a cheap fix.

Windows are not available nor are the materials to recondition them. Close them up.
