So I had the misfortune of bending both prop shafts on my 282.. So, to save some $$$ and learn more about doing it yourself, I research it and then I jump in and did it. This is a video of the removal process. The install video will be coming soon.

I bent mine last year. After hours of hard work by my experienced Yamaha mechanic he finally gave up on getting the shaft out. The lower unit was scrapped. I bought a new OEM LH lower unit for my F150. Apparently this is a common outcome.
