i heard the fourstrokes are too heavy for the european transom bracket is this true what options do i have it currently has 1995 yamaha 200's txrt runs fine but burns alot of fuel

Boats may be somewhat different, but I have 1190 lbs of F225 on the back of my 1998 272 and it's just fine. No scupper footwashes at all...
