Just purchased a pair of Mercury 225's Fourstrokes for my '94 27 sailfish. Pretty much the same hull as yours. They are not installed yet but per Grady White, they are the only 4 strokes on the market that wouldnt sink the scuppers. I'm replacing the original 200 yamaha two strokes.
I repowered a 86 Sailfish with a 300 G2 Etec. Much better boat without all the weight in the back.
