repowering a 1983 grady white 255 sailfish 300 yamaha 4.2 v

need a little help... anyone know if the new yamaha 300 hp 4.2 v6 motor...have enough power to push my boat dry weaght is 4125 pounds....i had a pair of 175 johnson ... i dont go far out....... and i dont want twins again i want to go with a single yamaha or suzuki 300 hp my boat is 1983...grady white 255 sailfish ....thanks

I think you would be fine. I had a 250 zuke on a 2510 DV Parker and it was great. You'll need a 30" .
