So I need more rod holders. I dont like the ones up top because I am short.

I was thinking of somehow attaching to either side of the back of the passenger seat above the bait tank. I am getting a 70 gallon bait tank installed so I don't need that one, it would be mostly storage. Any ideas?

Perhaps I could change the sink or bait tank into a side drawers on the front and put maybe 9 rod holders horizontally?

Help! :)

How many are you needing and what year is your Marlin? There should be four total, two on each gunwale as well as four more inside the cabin above the bed. If you're still wanting more rod holders, or don't want to use either of the ones mentioned above, I think the easiest and maybe even the cheapest way would be to mount a few rod holders to the metal supports for your hardtop. Maybe get two or four of these, or something similar, and call it a day?

I need like 12-15 at least, 4 guys will each bring 3-4 rods depending on what we fish...

Those are nice quality holders though!

And I mean I need quick-access holders outside the cabin :)

How about a picture or two of the cockpit area of the boat so that we can see your current setup and what we're working with here? I think to get that many rods/rod holders you'll need to do something up top, of which if you're not tall enough you could always stand on the seat, or gunwale while holding the hardtop supports for balance? Or get one of your taller buddies to do it for you? I think maybe the only other option is like what I have on my boat where it came with the cheap plastic 4 rod holder near the stern. You could try adding a few of those onto your boat? Here's a picture of mine.

Can you mount them to the sides of the livewell, I assume a 70 gallon is going to be deck mounted in the cockpit? This is commonly done on coolers or large fish boxes in the cockpit. What about transom mounted?

You can do something there if you build a vertical holder that fits inside the existing tank. I don’t think I’d cut the tank out unless you are ok with the cost and planning to keep the boat.
prob hood 6 rods vertically if done right.
