Are any of you running a 1995'ish 272 sailfish with 4 strokes? What kind of fuel efficiency numbers are you seeing? Were you close to sinking your scuppers?

I think you will be close with those scuppers. If you do it, you could:
- Check your thru holes and see if they are the ones with the rubber centers. You can replace the rubber section (single screw).
- If you have access, you can replace the thru holes with the ping pong ball type.
- Install a check valve in the hose.
- Install a scupper stop (something like this: http://www.topkayaker.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=3_75) or a cork stopper when needed. May need to remove the center rod across scuppers in the cockpit.

I have a 2001 282 with f250's I'm pretty close to spec also....finally. I had a issue where I wasn't running propper wot numbers. finally gave up guessing and called Grady. Told me to raise the motors to the 2nd hole and bingo I'm on par with the performance reports put out for the boat and motors. My scuppers are above the water line by about an inch or so pending full tank or empty.
1994 sailfish/ 2016 4.2 L Yamaha’s 225hp 1.8 mpg , raised scuppers 3” change from deck to bulkhead .
