Speaking of fabric

Didn't want to hijack the other thread.



Was wondering if anyone who's replaced the coverings for their seats, bolsters, etc went with a different color? If so, can you post some pictures?



The ones on my 265 will need to be replaced soon, and was maybe thinking of a darker blue.

Stayed with the cream so they would still match helm seat and seat pads on the livewell, bow and rigging station.
I’ve seen too many faded color fabrics on boats.

I think the white/cream looks best on fishing boats. My last boat was white/beige, which I liked.

For some reason, colors seem to look too busy (or something) on fishing boats.

The most I would do is use color as accents.

In sunny conditions, darker colors can get hot to the touch.
Darker colored materials also may age faster from the sun's UV rays.

Now that I switched to a non-white hull color maybe I’ll try something different this summer. I plan to hit the boat shows this Spring and shop.

I am currently having my cabin cushions redone on my 98 seafarer. I got word they are done and will hopefully pick them up this week. I will post some pics when i get them. I went with what I believe is a bit of an off white marine grade vinyl and got rid of the 90s material. Depending on how they look I may have the remaining cushions redone as well.
