I've just received a 2002 Marlin 300. I've downloaded the Grady manual which makes reference to a stern light and I've looked over the stern of the boat and cannot find one or an electrical connection to install one. Before I drill a hole to install a stern light I'd like to know if I'm missing something. I'd appreciate any help members can give me.

Probably don't have one and don't need one. Vessels < 12 meters can use one all around white (anchor/masthead) light in lieu of a stern and masthead.
