While trolling and jigging for tuna on Stellwagon this week we've been hauling in nice stripers :D ......... 40" + :D ........ Didn't keep any cause we were after different game but I was told recently that you couldn't keep any Stripers outside the 3 mile limit. Federal waters, Federal laws.

* Couldn't find anything on Mass Fisheries site

* Couldn't find anything on NMFS or NOAA sites

* If this is true, why the OK on Cod, Haddock etc. (Mass has their claws into us for them!)

Info would be appreciated. You would think this would be front and center in the Regs.

Here in NJ we have the same regulations. Not allowed to keep striped bass outside of the three mile limit. From what I gather it is a federal regulation that most if not all states have adopted. Apparently, the states enforce the federal ruling.
