Can anyone reccommend a surveyor in the Stuart, Florida area? I am having a 30' 2004 Marlin surveyed. I have an engine guy, now need a hull/boat surveyor.
find a surveyor that is fully accredited. ask for a sample of a survey he has done on a similar boat. find someone you are comfortable, get a price and go.
Be sure to interview the candidates for Grady specific experience. Ask him/her what he found wrong with Grady's before. Ask him what limitations he has - as to how far he can inspect such a boat.
The Marlin members of similar vimtage may has some comments as to what to look for, ie, generator issues, hull coring, stress cracks - where? etc.
