I want to mount a kicker motor to my 93 tournament 19 on the port side because the starboard side has the batteries and me. Has anyone mounted a kicker to the existing swim step with success? alternately, I am considering removing the swim step and installing a motor mount for the kicker. I trailer quite a bit and have seen posts of many failures of the Gerelick type mounts that raise up and lower, so am looking either at a fixed mount or possibly a hydraulic mount for the motor (will probably keep it at 8 hp or less). does anyone have some pictures and notes of a successful system during or after installation?
