Last week I had some battery problems with the #1 battery on my 273 Chase. I observed the ground connection was very corroded and proceeded to remove the three black leads, brushed it clean and replaced them and all seemed well. Today I used the boat for the first time and could not get the power console which holds my Simrad plotter to rise. After some fiddling I discovered that down is now up and vice versa. Any ideas how to resolve this? :?:

The 12 volt motor that raises and lowers your Simrad is sensitive to the polarity of the DC current flow. Something got switched from positive to negative so the switch is acting backwards. There are 4 solutions, 1 remove the switch and change the wires, 2 leave the wiring alone and turn the switch upside dowm, 3 find your wire reversal and correct it, or 4 live with it
