Tower pitting

The aluminum on my hard top tower was never taken care and because of that it has some heavy pitting does anyone have any ideas on how to clean this up and protect it, on my other towers I've used alumi-gaurd and it's kept the aluminum shiny and clean. Thanks

Woody wax sells a kit with brass wool. You have to let the solution sit for 24 hours or more. It works pretty well on pitting to an extent. Do NOT use steel wool! But worth a try.

 

[striped bass]

PRISM POLISH works wonders. It is sold at all the boat shows nationally. It leaves a silicone finish after it polishes and helps protect the metal againts the elements.
