towing rings

just wanted to know if u could move the towing rings on the back of the boat

I would guess that they have backing plates of some sort or another and would not attempt it.

Found no backing plates om my 85 204c. However, would talk to G/W about relocating them. Where do you want to move them to>

i wanted to lower them like 3inches or so because the wood up there is all rotted out not sure if it is any better lower but i figured i would try thanks

More than likely if you have rot that high then the lower you go will only be worse. Think about it, the water that causes the rot is going to collect at the lowest point and wick upwards from there. If your transom is that bad that high you should probably be considering full transom replacement.
