Trim Tab Paint

I spray painted my trim tabs with Trylux antifouling paint and they now have loads of sea grass and vegatation on them. Has anyone just used Hydracoat bottom paint on the tabs and has it worked out ok.. Would like to keep them clean next year...

When I barrier coated my boat I stripped my tabs and barrier coated them also now I paint them with the same bottom paint as my hull (micron extra) and havent had any growth on them whatsoever. A little slim on the tops but thats it. Also no corrosion issues from the bottom paint. I tried the trilux and thought it was useless.

My experience with Trilux antifouling spray has been like yours. It doesn't work at all.
