I have a 1986 204c and would like to install a Panther bracket. What can I do with the rub rail preventing me to disengage and push the motor down. Thinking of cutting the rail or getting a 1” piece of plastic to give me space. Ideas?????

Post some pictures if you can. Many of the brackets will have more than 4 holes to allow for adjustment up or down. Is that the case with your bracket? have you installed yet?

I cut a portion of rub rail out and put some spacers 1” plastic more than adequate.
