we have anglers talking about outrigger problems . outrigger lines in the fishing postion should be tight ( not bending the outrigger) . In the running position I like them tight also. So they are not floppy and getting slammed against the hard top . I use mono because I can set the tension then use a crimp to tighten down the outrigger line. we use 400lb Black ourigger line with 2.3 crimps. We always use Hal -lock lanyards so the lines don't creep down.

We also Recommend that you double rig your outriggers because when Tuna fishing on a Grady the clear water channels where the lures run when deployed from the outrigger do catch fish NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.

you can also use your outriggers when sharking to move the spread apart and also when the tension is set right on your outrigger clips it helps set the hook.
