Twin 2005 F225's for sale

Twin 2005 Yamaha F225 (F225TXRD and LF225TXRD) outboards. Both engines have 900 hours today. I purchased a 2003 GW that had these motors on her with 861 hours in December of 2022 so they were not original to the boat. I only put 40 hours on the motors because of replacing fuel tanks, electronics and a lot of maintenance kept me off of the water. The previous owner had the boat for 10 years and did not know why they were replaced. I am not sure if the exhausts were done. The engine survey produced no evidence of corrosion and the mechanic who did all of the service after I took possession saw no evidence of corrosion either. I have the motor print outs from 861 hours so I assume that nothing has changed. I had the spark plugs replaced, the thermostats replaced, water pumps and lower unit seals replaced, the injectors were all sent out to be cleaned, the VST’s replaced along with all filters in the motors. The tilt/trim motors were replaced prior to my taking possession. They run great! Included in the sale are mechanical controls, 4 gauges, SS props and a spare set of props (dinged up so will need to be taken to a shop). No steering included in the sale.

I will take a video of the motors running and tachs when the wind dies down. New motors are on order so these will be coming off in January. Ordered Suzuki so not sure if the crates can be used if shipping. Asking $13000 for the package. Located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Let me know what questions that i can answer for you.

in summary, the Port motor was 6100RPM,s and the Starboard motor was 5800RPMs. When I got the Boat on the trailer I noticed the primer bulb was collapse. I did not have a chance to check the anti siphon valve or the actual new fuel line and bulb. I suspect that this is why the engine didn’t get to 6100RPMs. it was at 6100 in late December when I last opened it up to WFO.
the boat is now at the shop for the new engines.
