I've got a Sunbrella cover I use year round, but it's heavy, and a pain to take it off and put it on every time I use the boat.

I'm looking for an ultra light weight summer cover, breathable with UV protection, easy to get on and off, rain protection not required. Does anyone have a light, cheap, easy cover they like? This will be for a Tournament 192. Information on brand, material, and where you found it is appreciated.

Thanks....

Is cover for use on trailer or at dock? what year is the hull?
There are lots of manufacturers online but they may or may not make a cover for your specific hull.
What does cheap mean:)
I looked at BoatCovers Direct as an example

This will be for sitting on my trailer in a spot near my boat ramp, 1994 hull. I think I paid $900 for my sunbrella boat-specific cover. It's nice, but it's a chore to get on and off. It's not unusual for us to go 9 months with no rain, so I don't need a heavy cover all summer.

I sometimes see lightweight covers that are basically giant shower caps, and I've gotten jealous of the easy removal and replacement.

What's cheap? $200 to $400 maybe?

This last winter I went with a company called Budge/Empire Covers, the sku number is B1220B7 and I really like the cover. After their promotional deal and free shipping, it was almost exactly $400, but you did have to pay for tax on it. They for some reason don't have them on their website anymore, but do still have some on Amazon as well as a few other websites. It's a bit of a thicker cover, but some of the ones on Amazon are more of a lightweight material. Might be worth checking into. If not them, there's a National Boat Covers website that appears to be a bit more make/model specific, of which they have one on their website with a model number of SCVCDY1996B-NVY for $432 before tax. As mentioned before, there's some on Amazon that you also might be able to make work.

The ones I looked at were in the 300 to 400 dollar range. I just picked the web site I mentioned at random. There are lots of 'generic' covers out there. It all depends on how tight and pretty you want it to look.

If you have a t-top, LaPortes makes a cover called a “console cover”. I bought one for a small Pioneer I had a few years ago. Basically they’re like a shower curtain that hangs from the outer tubing of your top. Doesn’t cover the entire boat obviously, but covered the console, electronics, etc. and super easy to put up and take down.
