Any one have experience with COMPLETELY removing lubricating residue from vaseline.
In reassembling a pump I must have gotten a trace on one screw and the screw won't seat in the plastic housing. It backs out 1/16 turn after removing pressure from the screwdriver.
I've tried degreaser, alcohol and dawn to no avail.

WD40 should do it. Shoot some into the threaded hole, let it sit for a while, and shoot come more in. Then flush with isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) to remove the residue and allow to dry. Treat the screw the same way.
