Help. I get a water leak in the cabin ( both sides ) along the seam that is covered by the teak strips that run from the anchor access back to the bulkhead.

I took the teak off. I can't find any leak when I soak the boat with a hose.
I don't see a leak when I'm running at any speed or in different sea conditions. But after the boat sits for a week, if it rains, I can trace a
line of water back up to the gap. I'ts enough to soak the port side quarter berth cushion, and fill the shower sump on the starboard side.

Already recaulked the pulpit and both running lights. Windows have been
done. No trace of a leak from them any way. The carpet under the windows stays dry. The anchor line stays dry,so I don't think the leak is from the anchor locker area.

If any one has ever seen or cured this mystery leak, please help.

This sounds familiar

I had this same leak on my 1990. I found that the bow lights and the railing mount screws on the deck were leaking. Also the screws through the bow pulpit leaked. It was hard to find untill i pulled the cabin anchor locker bulk head out and looked up in there when it was raining. I found some good drips from anything that poked through up there. they seem to run down the hull and on to the ledge behind the carpet gule and then down on the the teak. The carpet seemed dry because the glue prtected it. good luck......I had to rip all the hardware off and the bow pulpit. Then replace the rotted wood up there and then re mount, re screw and re seal everything

Thanks for the direction. Somehow I forgot the railing mount screws.

I'll have to pull them up and reseal them all.

Thanks again.
