Has anyone used epoxy as a clear finish over mahogany? I am trying to find a finish that would last longer than an oil. I plan on replacing the teak strips in my Tournament with some mahogany that I have.

you have to put varnish with uv protection over top of epoxy or it will flake off in a short time.

I would seal it with three coats of CPES. Then use two part perfection plus. I did this on my newly built mahogany swim platform on my trawler. You can't believe how hard and beautiful this finish is. Shines like glass and brings out the color of the mahogany.
