Even in my cabin, water gets in from time to time. I store a socket set in there and I have rust on it (still usable but it is telling me I need to do better).

One idea is the dry bags that rafters and kayakers use. Anyone have a better idea?

I'm thinking:

Tool bag
Bluefin/bigeye bag
Albacore bag
Ling/rockfish bag

And I mark them with a sharpy, maybe put a bin in the cabin and everything in that.

Ammo-like plastic boxes are available for cheap at Cabela's, or Amazon in different colors and sizes.

They are air tight.
I don't have to deal with salt water corrosion, but they do keep things dry.

Honestly, I don't have a magical solution. I try to have as much stainless steel tools as I can but some things in stainless are not easy to come by. A Damp Rid or similar desiccant can make a big difference in an enclosed space that gets damp.
Years ago we used some sort of special drawer liners in the mechanics tool box that slowed down rusting. I don't know it things like that are still available.

I use a dry bag and it works with no problems so far. For smaller stuff, I put in those plastic trays that close and put in the cabin in the storage box. No issues there either. You can also use vacuum bags, but over time, they lose seal, but really don't get enough salt air or humidity to harm the tools. You can also put one of those moisture bags inside to help prevent the rust.
