I'm thinking about buying the new inline 4 cyl F-200 for my Adventure 208. Nothing wrong with my F-250 with only 425 hours, I just think the boat could benefit a lot with less weight on the transom.
Anybody have a clue what my 2006 F-250 might be worth?

Hi altouchet;

Can't answer the question, although I'm sure the weight difference will be noticeable. Whether or not it will be a big help with planing, ride and speed is hard to say.

I would speculate you'll pay big for a new 200, even with selling your 250.

I don't understand why you would sell a running engine with no problems, and spend a lot more money for less HP on the same hull. I can't imagine the weight difference would be that big a game-changer to go thru all that, plus the cost of rigging the new 200.

Good luck in any case.

X2 with what magicalbill said. If it ain't broke....... With the money you save, you can ..........

9-10 grand. You will pay approx 16k rigged for 200 Inline. I say that assuming you will use your same rigging. 14.5k for motor plus taxes and mounting. I can tell you that my inline 200 is the absolute perfect weight but I majorly upgraded motors. Dont know If I would do that if I had a perfectly good 4 stroke motor.

The 250 must have you in the low to mid 50's WOT. Why give up that security of speed when needed?

My F200 (2003) pushes my Overnighter 204 in the high 40's - the 250 must be a beast. Isn't the 250 over max rating anyway?
