Does anyone know where I can purchase a matching set of the cleats that are on my grady? I didn't see any writing on my cleats so I don't know the manufacturer, etc. There are no cleats on the front of my 1994 Grady Seafarer 228G except for one in the bow and I find it hard to leave the boat at the dock because the rope rubs from the bow cleat and there is no easy way to tie a buoy unless it's to the railing.

Here are supposedly the OEM Grady White ones in the first link. The second link looks almost the exact same. Definitely do some measuring first though if you're going to buy non-OEM cleats online and have them shipped to you. Your local GW dealer will also likely have them, or know of a place where you can purchase them.

My 2004 had a set of skene chocks mounted near that single forward cleat to alleviate the chaffing you are talking about. Do you have a picture of the bow area of your boat?

My boat doesn't have the above mentioned, though I also don't have a bow pulpit. My boat just has the two cleats that I linked as well as a lift ring cleat that I've linked below.

brightnight, my apologies, I looked back at the pictures of some of my previous boats and it was NOT my 228 that had the skene chocks, it was a SeaRay Laguna I owned. Sorry for misleading you.

Here are some pictures of my boat with and without a line going across the side where I want to put another cleat. I talked to Grady and they didn't have a part numbers for a boat as old as 1994 but their best guess was an Attwood 66110-2. The closest Attwood part I can find now is: 66110-3. Visually looks similar, probably need to take some measurements and confirm.
