I am installing a Lewmar profish 700 on my 1995 226 seafarer. Does anyone have any pictures of how they installed their Windlass.
I talked to the guys at the local GW dealer. They sugested splitting the existing anchor hatch 2/3-1/3, re-enforcing the 2/3 section and bolting it to the deck and mounting the windlass to that section. The 1/3 section can stll be opened for inspection/access to the locker on the deck. This modification will be done by my local Fiberglass guy. This modification/location was sugested because of the needed "fall" for the anchore line.

The rest is standard - I am using 250' multistrand line, again sugested by the GW guys to assist in line fall, 20 ' 1/4 chain and a 13# Delta , anchor stop, and replacing the original roller with a lewmar delta roller on the existing oem pulpit.

Live in SW Florida and most of my anchoring is done in 40' or less - Its the Gulf and inshore bays (Lemon and Charlotte Harbor)

Any suggestions or pic's would be greatly appreciated.

She is a great little boat - am having the exterior/interior cushions redone and replacing the thru hulls with SS. Had a local canvas guy make a 6 foot "African Queen" sunshade that zipper attaches to the back of the Bimini, gives additional shade but allows plenty of room for fishing. Will post pic's when done.
Thanks
