For those of you that might have an issue with your Yamaha gauges like I had ( dim lettering and sun crazed faces) there is a cure. I sent mine too Gauge Saver in Florida. They sent this picture of the before and after. The result is pretty dramatic. I don't have any connection to them. I just thought it might benefit someone else.

Nice refurbish job!!! I've seen other gauges done, they do a nice job.

Wow, that is amazing! Good to know there is an option for this out there!

Thank you for the timely post. I was about to buy all new gauges, but this looks like a viable alternative. Vendor says no charge if he can't fix, so it looks like I am going this route first. Will report back to all on my adventure.

what was the cost if you don't mind me asking

The cost is $75 per gauge. They also do Mercury and Suzuki gauges.

This is not that difficult to do yourself for those who are handy. I did two of mine and the cost was I think less then 20 bucks in materials. There may be a post on here about it, or Google it.

I have Used this guy as well. Very fast service and honest assessment of what he can can. I sent a 24 year old Yamaha sun faded so bad you could not see any numbers and he made it usable again. Well worth the money and very knowledgeable.
