First post as a new owner. Spent the last 15 years fishing on my in-laws 1992 Seafarer 228 and today closed the deal on my very own GW! 2003 Marlin 300, repowered last year with F300s. She needs some TLC for sure but can't wait to get her out on the water!

Yea, I have some experience with big Whalers from work but this is my first big Grady, I'm really interested to see the difference in ride first hand.

Welcome and I hope you find the SeaVee hull and ride to be better than the Whaler. Heading into our 3rd season with a 98 Sailfish with the original 225 OX66 Saltwater series engines. By far the best boat we have owned. Can't wait to launch in April!

Welcome. Great boat but a bear to trailer!

I can't wait to get her out, we love the 228 so I'm sure the Marlin will be amazing, she has an appointment at the fiberglass shop at the end of the month as long as current events don't cause a problem. As for towing I used to haul this fat bottom girl around in a previous life, the Marlin is a breeze in comparison lol!
