I’m Repowering with a single 300 Suzuki and looking for real world numbers with a 300.

What's the HP rating on that hull? My boat is listed at 244 with a max of 300hp, but I would assume you have much more beam than me. I'm a little over propped right now and hit 44-46mph and cruise at 28-30mph burning 8.5-9.5 GPH depending on conditions/load.

268 is 24’ running surface, 8.5 beam, 2 ft euro transom rated for 400hp

Have you had the transom evaluated? That 300 hp 4-stroke is a lot of weight if that transom is compromised.

I have seen a 270 out of Florida set up this way and also a 268. The owner of the 268 said top end was 40. Best fuel burn was 2.1 mpg @ 28 mph.
