Trying to pick a color for my cockpit etc... I'm horrible at colors. I'd like to see some of your samples! Thanks! Randy

I went with Storm Gray over Black for my SeaDek that I'm putting on my swim platform and cabin step and floor. Haven't installed yet due to cold temperatures. Will be doing 2 more pieces for my box tops in the aft corners. Not doing the floor because of the catfishing that I do and the horns could gouge the floor.

Hard to tell, but the storm gray is darker than these pics show.
This fish ruler is StormGray-Black SeaDek that I have on my boat.

I used a product called FlexDek. I’m very satisfied so far.

Rather than trying to repair small dings and paint chips, I'd like to put a similar product on my GW factory installed Armstrong bracket/platform made of aluminum, but concerned that it could hold moisture underneath it allowing the aluminum to corrode.

I'm not sure about moisture under the barrier... good thing to check into. I know several people who have applied this to their aluminum floors and have heard no complaints.

Anyone have experience with the SeaDek HD? Limited colors, but supposedly more durable which is probably a good thing with my typical crew...

I believe that is the same as the Dekit. It's a more durable surface than the original SeaDek. You can find it on the Freeman's. Just remember to keep dogs off any of these products.

I was interested in Seadeck for my 228 and they came out and measured and gave me a quote of over $7K and I passed. What are you paying and are you having a pro install it? That almost $8K was with them doing everything.

That sounds like more than twice the going rate here in Florida.

I paid about $1200 for mine. It's a little high for the amount I did but I have double thickness in the bolsters. I believe the swim platform would have been about $400 and that was normal thickness. You could use that $/sqft to give an idea of cost.

I used Aquatraction on my 282. Everyone loves it, the only slight annoyance is that it’s a little warmer on those really hot days. No stains or scratches and it was beat on all summer long.

Price was around 3k and I did the whole boat. Even the swim platform. 492391A2-AA08-4AFD-A45E-EA93FD74C7DF.jpeg7E940ED1-B796-465B-B459-793BAC8B879C.jpeg6E08D7B7-0F7C-45CB-97DA-24D5A994DD76.jpeg

I've got $436 in my swim platform and cabin step and floor from SeaDek. I'll be doing the two box covers also, so a little more investment.

ItalianAngler's 282 turned out fantastic. Looking forward to get my few pieces installed this spring.
