Can't speak highly about New Wire Marine on this custom switch panel. Added some cup holders on the dash as well.

NewWire panel. Installed backlit switches in 6-switch bezel to contain lighting. Keeps light from splashing all over panel for better night vision.

Modified both bilge pump switches to have a daylight visible bilge pump running LED.

Can or Can't speak highly? I got a quote (rough estimate) for a new switch panel w push buttons and an additional panel for the helm. It was about 3000. I am asking for a quote on just the switch panel

If I'm remembering right, think it was around $1200. It's been awhile since I had it done.

Looking at you previous post about the $3K quote,,, it's probably correct. Push buttons are a pretty good bump in price versus the standard rockers. Adding the additional panel will be extra expense as well. Mine was just a simple panel with the back-lit GW logo. As we know, prices for everything have gone up, especially when you attach "BOAT" to it.

I didnt explore the push button option but mine was just under $1K with everything pre wired and GW logo.

My panel was about $1,100. New panel, switches and jumpers. GW used connectors behind the panel to connect to the boat harness. Pull them out and disconnect.




Clean up the wiring and install new connectors on the harness. I use a Dremel tool with little wire brush to remove the black oxidation from the wires before crimping a new connect on. Use a quality crimper that matches the connector style. And YES I like to tin them - string connectors will keep them from flexing.




I used the Contura Mounting Panels to frame the switches and control light "splashing" all over the panel at night. Keeps the backlighting behind the switch where it belongs.



Contura switches can be taken apart and LED's replaced. All switches use low light red LED's. I did replace the two bilge pump active LED's with high intensity red LED's. Otherwise you can't see the low intensity ones in daylight. Delicate operation though.
