Has anyone tried running these off of the rod holders on the HT legs. I’m looking for an easy way to add holders for carrying rods when running offshore and to clear the cockpit when fishing. I’d rather the outter two be straight mounted rather than angled out but thinking they may still work if they can handle the weight running with rods in them.

I've thought about it, and nearly purchased some from a welder at the fishing show this winter. I elected to stick with the extra clamp on Taco rod holders on my tower legs. The welder had a great design with 3 slots in a 90* angle set up, which would work great. Same use case on my 330 as well.

I use the Wahoo Industries 5-rod cluster. I have two of them. Primarily used when kite fishing for sailfish. Clusters are in the forward rod holder behind the tower leg. I use them to store the rods when hooked up. I find using the tower mounted rod holders on either side or up top to be too difficult and slow to store rods. Only problem I had with Wahoo Industries holders is the black rubber boot - they will fall off - a little epoxy solved that problem.

I've looked at that design and it looks like larger reels would hit each other. I heed to be able to handle International 50TW reels.

This is mainly for my sailfishing which is eight TLD15's. It works for me because it's only clearing and storage. Maybe the 3 rod tridents would work for you.
