Hey saw you response about the 150hp you have. What are you asking for it? Do you know the compression / RPMs it was running at? Any known issues?

Hi everyone, I have a 1995 Adventure that had the original 175hp Yamaha 2 Stroke. It has finally seen its last day. I am looking to see if anyone is selling or if anyone has any leads on a used 150-175hp 2 stroke or 4 stroke. I know a new motor is less of a gamble but it is not an option right...

Thanks everyone for the thoughts. Going to consider options based on all your suggestions if I can get it for a low price might still be worth it since the rest of the boat is very clean and the motor has around 400 hours. Appreciate all the advice, now just need to weigh pros cons etc.

Would it be best to see about a professional option, or is this something that could be picked up with some learning?
