It doesn't matter if it's vinyl. the problem is with the hull to topside joint on the transom. Water can find its way in between the vinyl an the corner finishing caps.... thru screw holes etc.
I just had my Transom repaired the correct way by Glassing over where the bang plate is located, removed the Greenwood Ply and used Coosa board. greenwood was wet but not rotten.

It was the original bang plate piece of garbage. Yes the water seeps in between the bang plate in between the laminate on top and on the corners. Over time salt builds under the bang plate and pushes it out. Very poor half assed design. BTW....Grady is not the only manufacturer that has these...
I'm very happy with the work. Took 9 days from start to finish. I am pissed at Grady with this poor design. Called Grady and of course out of warranty.

Hello everyone....
Has anyone installed a 12v outlet for a electric reel on a 2009 306 Bimini CC? I want to use it for my deep drop setup. What location and how is the wiring run from the batteries?
I am guessing I need a outlet on both port and staboard gunnels??
Thanks,
Mike
Thanks for all your inputs.... I did some homework and the Fuel senders are ABYC 33 to 240 ohms, so I set the speed fuel gauge to ABYC. Still having issues though. Did some troubleshooting and found the Auxiliary Tank sender is bad. The boat has the original Royce senders. I called Grady and...

Thanks
