When we bought her the refrigerator was dead. So we finally decided to install a replacement, the only real trick was that the old one was 12v only and the new is 12v/120. Turned out great and really happy with it. I decided to make a video since there weren't many/any out there for the 282.

Ok guys, for the pliers I think I'll stick with the affordable ones and focus on rensing them after use with fresh water. JJF thanks for the lead on a bait net, will definitely get one.

Two things never seem to last more than a season (saltwater), fish pliers, and bait dip net. Anyone have suggestions for something that would last more than a season? TIA

Yeah water meter show some moisture in the area, so I pulled them, cleaned everything used vacuum to draw out moisture, and reinstalled.

Reviving an old one. How has this worked in the long run?

This. I have an 03 282 as well, the temp knob turns it off as others have stated. Mine was dead so I got a 12v/120v Isotherm now.

Looks like we'll be joining this group. We have our 282 in San Antonio and at the Texas coast. But, we have a little house up in Au Gres, MI that we go to each summer, so next year we will be towing it up there to stay. Looking forward to more time on the water with my own boat up there.

Thanks guys for the input, I've watched some videos ((:) of people doing it on the trailer, that was the plan. But, I think I'll check and see what it would cost to have it done. Or at least have some place to do it on stands/sling. Again, thanks!

I have an 03 282 that has never been bottom painted. It was always in a boat house or trailered. I plan to put it in a slip this fall (texas coast, salt water) but then in the spring we'll be taking it to Michigan where it will live in a Freshwater slip (except when winterized).
