What can you tell me about the 257 Advance?

My biggest question is about the use of wood in 2006 or newer 257. Transits are notorious for going bad on older Grady's, I don't want to run into that. My price range is around $50-60k so I figure I can get a nice example with twin 150s. Anything to look for in particular? Thanks!

Need some repairs, ideas on cost?

It's time to replace the transom on my '87 Trophy Pro, there are cracks at the corners of the engine cut out. When I bought the boat in '07 I knew the transom had moisture in it, but it was worth it for the price I paid. The boat's been sitting for the past few years because I lost my job and...

    Towing Saillfish / Trophy Pro252

When I pulled my Trophy Pro from Glen Burnie to Fayetteville, NC I got permits all the way down and put on Wide Load banners. Locally it's not an issue, but on the Interstate, or Bay Bridge for that matter, better be safe than sorry. MD Transit Police can be class one jerks.

Tak to me about trailer tires....

I finally got the boat down to NC this weekend. All I've got to say is WHAT A FREAKING NIGHTMARE!!!!! I had planned on getting the tires replaced, but ended up having to come to NC a week earlier than planned to finalize everything for my new job. I had left the truck and trailer in MD and...

    Engine Trim

Well, I was going about 15knts, so I will have to look at the fuse to see if that is blown. Thanks for the suggestion!

    Engine Trim

Well, I am only towing about 360 miles, so I may just leave the engines up, and use the lever lock to keep them up. As far as the trim tabs go, when I was attempting to adjust them, the attitude of the boat wasn't changing no matter which way I pushed the tab switches.

    Engine Trim

What if I don't have a bracket? The hydraulic reservoir is in the transom, next to the starboard battery and switches. Would the pump be in the same area?

    Engine Trim

Last week I brought the boat down river and up the bay to pull it out of the water for my move to NC. When I started it up, I couldn't get the port engine down. The pump was working but the engine wasn't moving, so I had to make the trip on one engine. The Starboard engine trim was fine, but...

Tak to me about trailer tires....

Hind sight is 20/20. Seriously, this trailer was local and I had to get it quick. I did get a really good deal on it too. Unfortunately, I didn't have time for a trip to NC and back.

Tak to me about trailer tires....

I just bought a used EZ Loader roller trailer to get my boat from MD to NC. I noticed after I bought it, that it has "P" passenger tires, rather than "ST" trailer tires. They are 235/75/15. What are the ramifications for trailering long distance with P tires rather than ST tires. I am in a...

    flowscan installation?

You can get almost all the user manuals from the Grady White Website. They have the wiring for the whole boat in there.
