Do you have instructions on how to adjust the idle speed? Thanks.

    Seafarer 228 Weight

You will want to have about 10-15% fudge factor in the trailer. It is always better to have a trailer that is overbuilt than underbuilt for the load. When I was shopping for my 208 trailer I went with the 5400# instead of the 4600# because it was only another $600 and it would give me peace of...

    Idle on F225

Is this something that needs to be done by a Yamaha mechanic? Mine idles about 500 rpms as well and lately coming off a plane down to neutral the engine will shutter a little bit and then idle like normal. Sometimes it shutters too when kicking it in gear. It should be at about 700 rpm...

GelCoat Chip Damage to the Starboard Strake - Pictures Incl.

Well I just picked up my boat from Jacobsen's today in West Seattle. They did a fabulous job! I can't tell where the damage was and I am happy I had it repaired professionally. It cost me just over $400 which I think was steep but ended up being worth it. Thank you all for your advice...

GelCoat Chip Damage to the Starboard Strake - Pictures Incl.

Thank you. I really appreciate the help and comments. I am going to call my Grady dealer on Monday to schedule an appointment. I didn't take the boat out this weekend like I had planned because I didn't want to make it worse.

GelCoat Chip Damage to the Starboard Strake - Pictures Incl.

Hi Guys. When I purchased my boat the strake on the starboard side of the boat had a small nick about the size of a dime on the strake. Now, after about a year of usage the nice has grown in size and also it has seemed to spread. I may have caught it on a roller when landing my boat the last...

Adventure 208 Vee-Berth Drain -- Where does it drain?

I am cleaning out my vee-berth cabin and decided to wash and hose it out. I ran the water for a few minutes washing away the soap and all the water drained out through the drain hole near the cabin door and the portable head; it is a small drain hole about 1/2" wide factory installed. My...

Buying a new trailer; Adventure 208 Trailer Capacity

You guys who have an Adventure 208, what capacity trailer do you have? I am looking at getting a new 4600 lb. trailer and was wondering if that will be enough? Or should I go with a 5400 lb.? Thanks for your input!

    SUZUKI or YAMAHA

I love the Yamaha engines, but hate the clunky sound they make when shifting gears. It always sounds like the gears are grinding. My father has a 115 Suzuki and it shifts so smooth you can hardly hear when it goes in gear. They are both good engines.

    Galvanized Trailer Brand Recommendation

Thanks for the input guys! I went looking at EZ Loader and King trailers today and they seem to be ok. I like the gauge of the steel on the King trailers and their disc brakes. I am thinking of going with a 5200 or 5400# trailer for my Grady 208.

    Galvanized Trailer Brand Recommendation

Hey Guys: I think I have decided instead of converting my 2004 EZ Loader bunk trailer to rollers, I am going to just buy a new trailer. My trailer is practically brand new and I think it has quite a bit of value. It has only been in salt water two times in its lifetime. What do you guys...

The new 2004 Grady 208 Adventure

Thanks for the replies guys! I am going to look at changing the way I tie it down. I don't really like the idea of a gunwale tiedown system, but I may look at going that route especially for long trips.

The new 2004 Grady 208 Adventure

Thanks, Guys! I live on the East side of the Sound; just north of Everett. The first weekend we had the boat we took it to Chelan over in Eastern Washington. We also take the boat to Lake Stevens which isn't too far away. We just got back today from Crabbing off Saddlebad Island near...
