My 12” Garmin display is black

My screen is totally black. I’ve tried performing the three button presses of the power switch to force it to change to daytime brightness levels. I did the testing with a dark cover over my head and the display so it’s not a sunlight brightness issue. (I am familiar with the problem of...

Location of live well pump? 2021, GW 235 dual console

My live well pump stopped working. All my fuses in the main fuse block are good. What else can I check? Where exactly is the pump? I’ve looked in that stern space where the batteries are located but I don’t see the livewell pump anywhere. Can anyone give me any advice on where to find the pump...

    aluminium trailer corrosion

Maybe so but if one does a job thoughtlessly, then the trailer owner probably won’t see that second 17 years he was hoping for. Corrosion can be a really embarrassing thing.

Buy THE right tape. Dis similar metal corrosion is disastrous. Do it right. Don’t guess with proper materials to save $10 on a specialty product.

GW stern ladder weight rating? 2021, 235 Freedom

I agree but physical dexterity is not what the rating is based on. I have thought about taking larger people out on the boat and decided it would be best to discourage them from getting out of the boat. Even if the ladder is rated for 400 and a man may be a little under that, who is to say...

GW stern ladder weight rating? 2021, 235 Freedom

On land or in water makes no difference. THE rating is 400 # of force exerted downward on the ladder and this includes the strength of the design of however its secured to the boat. If a boat designer failed to use adequate blocking under the ladder's bolts, under the swim platform, then the...

GW stern ladder weight rating? 2021, 235 Freedom

I don't think its just fisherman that are beyond small-framed. Its Americans. When I went to Europe I could always tell whether the tour bus was filled with Americans or not. Obesity goes hand in hand with sugar consumption. The US is tops in the world...

GW stern ladder weight rating? 2021, 235 Freedom

Thank you. GW confirmed for me that the rating on the ladders they supply is 400 pounds. They say this is a rule according to an ABYC requirement. The American Boat & Yacht Council. I did not know about them and their standards until today. Here's their site if you'd like to know more about...

    Towing a GW 235 with BMW X5?

That’s a really beautiful boat! I looked up the towing capacity ratings for the Yukon and the suburban. The Yukon‘s rating is quite adequate, but the suburban is rated for more. The other thing is that the suburban has a much longer wheelbase and that’s always a very helpful feature for pulling...

Ok. I don’t see how you could have harmed the vehicle then.

    Towing a GW 235 with BMW X5?

And yes, you are correct. The 235 dual console and the 236 center consul is the same hull and the whole rig probably weighs almost exactly the same.
