    Chesapeake 290 ??

I sea trailed the 290 Chesapeake w/ twin F250s and the 300 Marlin w/ twin F300's. My opinion is the Marlin out performed the Chesapeake on all levels. The 290 is a great boat and I think the first model came out in 2008. However, the Marlin is a heavier, beefier boat (33' overall) that can...

    Thinking about a 2011 GW 300 Marlin

Re: Just purchased a 2011 GW 300 Marlin To all the Marlin owners out there, i have a new question about my new boat: Do the engines hit the water when they are lifted completely up? I am trying to get a sense for how much of the engines will still be in the water while not in use at the dock...

Re: Just purchased a 2011 GW 300 Marlin Not really smelling too new since it is a 15 month leftover, but the boat is certainly clean. Spring can't come soon enough. Thanks for all your supportive advice and experiences.

    Thinking about a 2011 GW 300 Marlin

Re: Just purchased a 2011 GW 300 Marlin Great to hear you love the Marlin. I am going to take some pics of my new boat this weekend and I will post on Sunday. The weather in the Northeast can get similarly windy, so I am optimistic I will be happy with the new boat over my existing 257...

    Thinking about a 2011 GW 300 Marlin

Re: Just purchased a 2011 GW 300 Marlin Thanks Ed. I appreciate your note and the experience. Sounds like I made a good decision on the engines. The boat was a leftover, so I didn't have a choice. I will definately post my experience and some pictures in April. Kevin

    Thinking about a 2011 GW 300 Marlin

Hi All. I went to my dealer yesterday and with the "Grady Days" promotion, I was thinking to trade in my 2006 257 Advance for a new 300 Marlin. The boat is getting rigged with two F300 engines. I did a sea trial on a Marlin with F250's but I was wondering if any of you out there can give me...

Labor Day Weekend Plans...lets hear them

I will be cleaning up the house and the boat after Hurricane Irene last weekend. There is plenty of debris in the Long Island Sound and surrounding area. However, if the water clears, I will also do some Fluke fishing as well. Enjoy the weekend!
