I do Facebook. Folks I went to school some 30 years ago still keep in touch. What an opportunity to network and stay in touch after all these years. And they are spread out all over the world.

I replaced mine when it failed. Take your time and prep the area inside and out carefully. The old transducer was sealed with 5200. Not necessary. A good below the water line sealant is better. The 5200 was so hard I had to grind the old transducer down to get it to release.

I said some of that time not all of that time.

Maybe some of that time was them running and making sure they open and there is no clogs. If they just installed the t/stats and let you go. Next time you ran the engine and there was a problem you would be back and that's when customer relation problems ensue. Just a thought. Merry Christmas

Gman25 is correct Grady wont have a position on the fuel because they do not manufacture the engines. The recommendations and procedures will come from the perspective engine manufactures. And we are paying more for 10% less gas and causing the farming and food industry to be unstable.

I had fresh water in the bilge. It was coming from the faucet next to the fridge on my Sailfish. The hose clamps were loose.

Run a jumper from the tank sender to the battery. Just to verify the ground.

It's probable the fuel sender unit in the tank. Its may have fallen victim to the ethanol in the fuel.

Mine did the same thing. I had an aluminum anchor and it never would drop or set. I changed it to a 18lb steel and it drops and sets fine now. One thing to remember is aft angle. Less fuel in the main tank and a full aux tank with a full water tank. It could make it slow to release.

The waxing your mechanic talked about, I have seen that with mine. 2 years ago my port side engine lost its tail tell. and overheated at the dock. I shut it down let it set and started it up and it worked ok. I left the dock and got 5 or 6 miles off shore and it overheated. Limped in on one...

I have that same system on my Sailfish. I was able to find all the parts from my Grady dealer. There is how ever some small parts discontinued. Where the tie bar threw bolt connects to the black extension arm of the tiller. There are bushings that allow it to be bolted tight and still swivel...

I went to NAPA and purchased a refill. The marine blade is the same as the ones used on medium and heavy trucks.

I have a 272 Sailfish. Mine is in the berth under the deck. 4 screws to remove the back wall.
