    Installing a boat table

I would be worried about getting around the table when it is in place. Why don’t you do a flush floor mount? It only sticks up,like 1/2” or so I think

    Grady drive inspection port replacement?

May be a stupid question, but I want to retrofit a proper inspection port onto my Grady Drive. The access port on mine requires siliconing on each time it is removed. Has anyone discovered a plastic inspection port that has the same screw pattern as the original? the 4”I ordered from Amazon is...

    Docking restaurants North Shore?

Interesting question…let’s differentiate…if you know restaurants where there’s a launch service, so indicate…and..maybe post the launch service call name and channel. my thought is to generate a pamphlet with all the info…maybe annually so it can be updated.

    Docking restaurants North Shore?

    Do not buy Lowrance

Deep water (dfsbl). My point is the model number, like the term “skimmer” and the patent number, which are imprinted on the unit, needs to be imprinted on the unit, not on a tag (or maybe both). if The unit needs replacing the sequence is to purchase the replacement, then dig into the boat to...

    Do not buy Lowrance

Arggghhh…pulled the old unit”s wire through (and of course my rope, attached so I could get the new one through, detached). An hour later, after finding a snake, running the snake, and pulling a chaser line through, we discovered there are two different transducers, one shallow, and one for...

    Do not buy Lowrance

    Do not buy Lowrance

My transducer mount broke, so I attempted to call Lowrance To find out which transducer works with my LCX. 113c hd unit. After 1 hr and 15 minutes (I went from 30 to 8 in queue) the call died. The email at customer service isnt an email address, so you can’t email them. if this is how they...

    Draining the Drive bracket

Right on! But I think for this summer, while the boat is in the water, plastic drywall screw thingees and bathtub silicone will have to hold the screws down. researching carload ping pong balls on eBay…this boat’s getting more and more expensive!

    Draining the Drive bracket

Wow…new gw225 owner (2005) with a new Honda 250 off the stern. Was getting really low in the stern after two weeks on the mooring. found the Grady drive FULL of water. Am pulling the boat Monday and replacing the plastic drain. GW dealer says that is the problem 90% of the time. The access...

Seems to be sitting a little low

I’m considering filling that cavity with spray foam. I talked to a guy at empire foam solutions and he suggested testing out high density foam insulation from Lowe’s to see if it takes on water. If not, use it. But in the meantime I’m filling mine with an inflatable raft. Simple solution!
