    Usable Fuel GW 335

Yup.. the purpose of the filter is to catch that water. If water is excessive.. check for other sources of intrusion.

    Usable Fuel GW 335

I initially had a 1/2" hose out of bladder to a 3/8" primer bulb & hose. I've upgraded to a 5/8" primer bulb and hose, but still come out of bladder via 1/2" hose. I place the bladder (120g, 48"x48"x12") mid-cockpit which is raised 8-12" above main tank and run hose down fill tube for about...

    Usable Fuel GW 335

My marina only sells non-ethanol fuel - no E10. So that is a plus. As far as water in fuel I have inline fuel/water separators one for each engine. In theory, no water should find its way to the engine. Filters are replaced annually and inspected for water. If water found, then efforts made to...

    Usable Fuel GW 335

I actually siphon the bladder into the main tank via the deck fill tube. I did consider direct connection and fuel pump. The direct connection would require modifications to the fuel supply lines which would not be straight forward given the routing of the lines. Not to mention dealing with...

    Usable Fuel GW 335

I burn 130-150g on a typical fishing trip offshore. I feel that leaving the dock at full fuel provides me the option to go a bit further and provides me a solid safety margin. When I visit the NE Canyons I am full fuel plus 120g gas bladder. Knowing my actual useable fuel is most important on...

    Usable Fuel GW 335

Thanks for the information and feedback. I have been for long trip planning assuming a 10% or 30g reduction in usable fuel. It would seem that is likely a reasonable assumption. As far as filling up the tank near 100% it is indeed challenging but I do believe I've been able to fill it to...

    Usable Fuel GW 335

I have a 2019 GW 335 with 290g main tank. Wondering what amount of that 290g is actually usable. I can estimate, but wondering if anyone has real world knowledge.

    Gemlux Bluewater bases on GW335

Quick update. I worked with Wes @ Marsh Tacky and he was able to point me in the direction of Taco 390 bases for my GW335. The GW335 was designed to support the Taco 380, and now 390. So, I went with 390s and 22' fixed Marsh Tacky poles. Now need them to ship and get them installed...

    Gemlux Bluewater bases on GW335

I did.. and they directed me initially to GemLux Deluxe bases given their relatively new business relationship. I am asking a few other folks at the dealership about what would work.

    Gemlux Bluewater bases on GW335

The main issue I am struggling with is the built in hardtop mounting plates. The placement was based on Taco bases for my GW335/2019. As I understand it, GW is redesigning the mounts for GemLux on new builds at some point. I am therefore restricted on bases that will fit the form factor I have...

    Gemlux Bluewater bases on GW335

I connected with Wes at Marsh Tacky. Great guy and super helpful. He told me that GW recently moved away from Taco to GemLux bases as their primary vendor. The challenge with that vendor move is that GW designed the 335 around the Taco mount. His recommendation was to go w/ the Taco 390 base...

    Gemlux Bluewater bases on GW335

Thanks.. I didn't see the links as they kinda blend into the site. So Deluxe crank needs 3.75" vs 5.25" for Bluewater.. Now wondering if I can run 20"-22" poles on the deluxe bases.

    Gemlux Bluewater bases on GW335

The rotating handle requires 5.25" from the center of the base all around. The hardtop mount bracket is too close to the hardtop structure and there will not rotate. I am going to get the specs on the deluxe version.. assuming its less that 5.25". Does anyone have the deluxe specs to share?

    Gemlux Bluewater bases on GW335

Thanks for the information and pics! Great setup! I spoke with my GW dealer late yesterday and they informed me that the Gemlux Bluewater bases will not work on my GW335. Really disappointed as they are great bases. However, they mentioned that the GemLux Deluxe bases would work. I want to...

    Gemlux Bluewater bases on GW335

I am considering purchasing Gemlux bluewater bases for my GW335 (2019). Does anyone know if I would have the required clearances? Boat is in storage and 1000 miles away.. so can't go see for myself I am worried that the mount is very close to the hardtop structure. See clearances diagram for...
