yes, there is a drain gutter on the sides that is piped down into the bilge. I'm also after better access to the seacocks in the event of failure and opening and closing them. A larger hatch may be the better play where the pry out is now. thanks for the input.

Thanks for the responses. it is for the anchor hatch on the bow and one for the fish box in the stern. I have some left over Starboard i'll use to make a replacement.

interesting i thought it would have been straight threads as the thru hull fitting looks like it's straight.
