Thanks for answering. Yes they're below the waterline thats why I guess the PO had painted them, or his boatyard had. They are white plastic ring which sandwiches a rubber flapper against the hull and the the thru-hull scupper drain tube.

Re-doing the bottom on my Tournament 19. The scuppers had bottom paint on them and this just seems wrong or lazy. I have taken these off/apart and the rubber seems in very good shape so I don't think I need new ones. Did a quick search but couldn't find answer. Oh yeah the boat will be in NH...

I wouldn't replace your switch with a radio shack item. Buy a marine switch like shown here http://www.iboats.com/Marine-Toggle-Switches/dm/view_id.216627.

So I didn't have angle brackets welded onto my new tank, I suppose I could get some welded on as an after-thought but that would be a pain since the tank is epoxy coated. The other option is to use foam at the corners. Either way I will not use those...

Thanks 85 Tourn, I'll give it one more try but not sure how a 59" x 9"(deep) is coming out of a 58.5" opening? I assume GW drops the tank in the hull, then installs the deck, but if this isn't the case, and the tank was installed through the access opening, then logic says there must be a way...

Thanks for replying Parthery, Actually I had the foresight to modify the tank and shorten it a full inch but that won't help getting the original tank out! And cutting won't affect the diamond pattern at all. There's a 1+ inch lip that the deck panel rests on. This is what I'd be cutting 3/8 off...
